{"id":413,"date":"2019-08-22T16:13:28","date_gmt":"2019-08-22T16:13:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.backroadswineries.com\/blog\/?p=413"},"modified":"2020-09-04T15:07:17","modified_gmt":"2020-09-04T22:07:17","slug":"cabernet-sauvignon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.backroadswineries.com\/blog\/2019\/08\/22\/cabernet-sauvignon\/","title":{"rendered":"Cabernet Sauvignon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>by Michael Mooney &#8211; Chateau Margene<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cCab is King.\u201d&nbsp; And everyone knows it!&nbsp; (well, almost everyone)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant force in the red wine industry and in most years, the most popular choice among US wine consumers.&nbsp; It makes up 40% of the Paso Robles AVA\u2019s (American Viticultural Area) 40,000 acres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cabernet Sauvignon&nbsp;came to life in France (Bordeaux region)\nin the 1600\u2019s.
